Ladies and Gentlemen:
I want to take this time out to thank the Managing Director and the management of Excellon System Limited for the privilege given to me to speak to you.
I know that at the end of this session, you would have succeeded in getting cutting edge information that will help you move from where you are to where you want to get to.
The Topic before me today is:
THE WILL TO SUCCEED
On a country road he stopped before an isolated chapel and declared, "I am
going inside and I will ask for God's help. Then I will come out and flip
this gold coin. If our Emperor's face appears we will win. If the other side
comes up head, then we will lose. And so, my companions, our fate is in the hands of destiny."
After a few moments in the chapel, La Variere came out and flipped the coin.
Napoleon's head appeared. The soldiers shouted and acclaimed their destiny,
and the entire company's moral was lifted. Convinced that they would be
victorious, they fought with such bravery that they rapidly won the battle.
After the victory
one can change the course of Destiny. This unexpected victory is yet another
Proof of that."
"Who knows, my dear
Showed him the coin on which Napoleon's head appeared... on both sides!
Success doesn’t just happen, someone must make it happen and for you to become successful, you must make it happen.
Questions:
Some Basics for Success.
It is the mission we have that helps us to set goals. Goals are steps towards the attainment of our mission.
VALUES:
Your values determine how you use your time. When you place value on people’s time and on your time, you will hardly be late to work or any appointment.
Your values can pull you towards success or towards failure; it determines what you get from life
PRINCIPLES:
If we work with the wrong principles, we can never arrive at the right result.
There are principles that govern success, discover such principles, I mean principles like Good Moral Ethics, Integrity, Responsibility, Respect to Rules and Laws, Hard Work, Saving Culture and Investment, Punctuality, Doing first thing first, e.t.c. build your life around them and both you and your organization will become successful.
In Conclusion, I will like to leave us with this story.
As he lay there, desperate and dejected, Tamerlane watched an ant try to carry a grain of corn over a perpendicular wall. The corn was larger than the ant itself. As the emperor counted 69 times the ant tried to carry it up the wall, 69 times he fell back. On the seventieth try the ant pushed the grain of corn over the top.
Tamerlane leaped to his feet with a shout! He too would triumph in the end! And he did, reorganizing his forces and putting the enemy to flight.
God Bless You All!
